Center for Education and Training: Jamia Darul Uloom Sukkur is the link of this historical continuity of religious schools. The beginning of which was established by Hazrat Karim, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, near the Prophet's Mosque for the education and training of the Sahaba "Safah". The enlightenment of "Safah" spread its light of faith and knowledge in every region of the Islamic world. With the light of which the paths of knowledge and wisdom are illuminated. In the first century of Hijri, Bab al-Islam Sindh took its inspiration from the religious and academic lot of "Safa" and presented the best examples of faith and knowledge, knowledge and mysticism, education and training to the world. Sivastan was the academic city of ancient Sindh, which was not less than Medina, Kufi, Basri, Baghdad and other academic centers of the Islamic world.
Among the scholars here are Imam Rabi bin Sabih Sindhi, Abu Mushar Sindhi, Shaykhul Islam Imam Uzai, Makhdoom Rahmatullah Sindhi, Makhdoom Muhammad Jafar Bobkai, Makhdoom Abu Al Hasan Kabir Sindhi, Makhdoom Muhammad Moin Thattwi, Makhdoom Muhammad Hashim Thattwi. Makhdoom Abul Hasan Saghir Sindhi, Makhdoom Muhammad Hayat Sindhi Madani, Makhdoom Muhammad Akram Naspuri, Makhdoom Abdul Wahid Siustani and Makhdoom Muhammad Abid Sindhi Madani, may God have mercy on him, established schools in Bab al-Islam Sindh and the center of Islam in Makkah Madinah. Allama Ghulam Mustafa Qasmi Chawani played such an unprecedented role in the dissemination of knowledge through: In the Islamic world, you will rarely find such a teaching process in which the names of these Sindhi saints are not in the list of teachers. There was a time in Sindh that Qutb-ul-Aqtab Hazrat Hamadullah Halijavi used to say that there were Bukhari Sharif's hafizians in Rohari. According to British historians, there were only 400 Jamia and University level academic centers in Thatta before the arrival of the British.
With the arrival of the British in the subcontinent, there was a struggle for religious schools from Sindh as well as other areas. Its effects were also on Babul-Islam Sindh. Along with the establishment of Darul-Uloom Deoband, religious madrassas once again spread in Sindh. Jamia Darul Uloom Sukkur is also the academic and intellectual continuation of these ancient academic centers of Sindh and Darul Uloom Deoband.
Jamia Darul Uloom Sukkur was founded in 1428 A.H. In 2008, Jamia Masjid Usmaniya Baraj Colony, Sukkur, built some rooms, where boys and girls were taught Nizami, memorization, Tajweed recitation, as well as translation and interpretation of the Qur'an for adults. Various courses were started. Due to the increase in the number of students in a short period of time, campus 2 of Jamia Darul Uloom was constructed in the Government Housing Society. For the Islamic society, the establishment of a seminary is indispensable, a seminary and a Muslim cannot be separated from each other, because a seminary is the name of enlightening humanity from the teachings of Allah and His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace. There are few religious institutions in Muslim society. On the other hand, it is seen that in the history of Islam, we also find such a bright period when education was accompanied by training, knowledge was accompanied by practice, and teaching was also done in these institutions. Especially during the Abbasid and Umayyad eras, we see many famous muhaddiths, whose title was "Al-Muyedab". The meaning of literature is teaching and training. Later on, day by day attention was diverted from that side.
Today's age is surrounded by the glow of materialism. In that period, its need should be increased. Therefore, it was necessary to establish such a religious institution, which contains strong academic and educational foundations as well as unparalleled training, moral and spiritual values. Also, fulfilling the needs and demands of the time, standards and money, he should fulfill the duty of leading the nation. Keeping this need and purpose in mind, Jamia Darul Uloom Sukkur was established.
